The Halifax International 
Wine Fest

The Halifax International Wine Festival 2026 Grand Tasting sessions will be return to the Halifax Convention Centre ballroom.

At this year's event there will be "more space, more wine, more food and more fun." At the festival's Grand Tasting Sessions guests can sample 250 wines from near and far and enjoy food samples from various vendors.
 

The an onsite retail store produced by Harvest Wine Beer & Spirits  will allow guests to purchase many featured wines to take with them. As we say "try it....like it...buy it...".

Where and when is the festival happening?

The 2026 Halifax International Wine Festival will take place on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at the Halifax Convention Centre Ballroom (1650 Argyle St, Halifax, NS). The grand tastings are 3:00-5:00 and 8:00-10:00 for General Admission 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-10:00 for VIP ticket holders.
 

What’s included in the ticket price?
 

General Admission (~$74.95): access to one of two Grand Tasting sessions to sample over 250 premium wines from international and local producers, plus complimentary curated food pairings—cheese, chocolate, small bites—provided by participating vendors.
 

VIP Admission (~$94.95): includes all General perks plus one extra hour of tasting time before the crowd including a select number of VIP hour only wines.

Note: Samples are not limited but organizers reserve right to stop service for obvious signs of intoxication.


 

Are there non-alcoholic or food options?
 

Yes. The event features a selection of premium non‑alcoholic wines, cocktail for guests who prefer them. There are food samples typically include some vegetarian, dairy‑free, or gluten‑friendly options. Note: food items are samples, and not intended as a meal replacement. 
 

Can I purchase bottles on-site?

Absolutely. A pop-up retail shop managed by Harvest Wine Beer & Spirits operates during the event, letting attendees purchase featured wines they’ve sampled—truly “try it… like it… buy it.” 
 

Are there any age restrictions or dress codes?

  • You must be at least 19 years old to enter. Tickets are not guaranteed entry without proper ID. Attendee ID may be checked at the door, or any time during the festival.

  • There is no formal dress code, but most guests dress festively..
     

 Parking and Accommodation

  • Parking is not included with tickets. Secure parking options exist nearby, but attendees are encouraged to use taxis or ride‑share services.
     

  • Hotel packages are offered with partner hotels like The Prince George and Sutton Place—often bundled with VIP tickets or flexible check‑in times. Note: book early as room allotments will run out quickly. Packages coming Spring 2026.
